Freshers Association

 The Freshers association of ACGCET is an exclusive association to nurture and eliminate the fear of the fresh buds admitted into the college. To remind that the college campus is completely ragging free, the association itself is called with the other name “Anti-ragging association”. 25 coordinators from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year under the guidance of Honorable Chief faculty advisor, Dr.B.V.Bhuvaneshwari, organize and conduct events Tuesday in a weekly manner for the first year students to explore the college campus and remove their fear of the first day. Both fun and technical events are organised for the Freshers to learn with joy.

Muthamizh Mandram

Muthamizh Mandram aims to familiarize students with Tamil Culture. It conducts ‘Agal’ and ‘Vidiyal’ every year. Various events are conducted during these functions. Events describe the culture of Tamil Nadu. Dances like Bharatanatyam , Oyillatam, Mayilatam , Karagattam, Silambam, Shows like Villupattu  and various type of skits illustrating our culture and  Pattimandram are performed. Before a week of Vidiyal function, An occasion called ‘Yavana Varam’ is held and Students from various departments participate in speech, essay writing, poetry, Drawing and win the prizes which will be honoured to them on the occasion of Vidiyal. Tamizhar thirunal, Pongal is celebrated in the college every year in a grand manner by this club.

 

Leo Club

The Leo club of Karaikudi Cosmos ACCET chapter is sponsored by Lions Club (or) Karaikudi Cosmos. The Leo Club of ACCET was inaugurated on October 1996.The Leo club belongs to Lions club International district 324-B3.The three goals of Leo club are Leadership, Experience and Opportunity. The club encourages youth to develop leadership qualities by participating in the events Conducted by Leo Club Coordinator’s and by doing social service activities. Leo club has more than 80 student members at present.

 

Rotaract Club

Rotaract club of ACGCET is a perfect framework for friendship and service. The Rotary club of Karaikudi   is considered as  the parent club. Every thursday, club activities are conducted for the students that will help them to improve their communication skills and also helps them ,showcase their talents.The events are conducted by the final year coordinators and the other year students are encouraged to participate.

The Rotaract club of ACGCET has done  many services including the placing of bus timings near the College, Pan card application for students, Blood donation camp and so on. The Rotaract club along with the music club of ACGCET had organized a musical concert ‘SRISHTI’. The club conducted ROMIS which was a mini symposium. ‘Rotaract week’ was conducted which included many events such as RBL, Mehendi, Hairstyling, oratory , drawing, singing and poetry competitions and the participants were encouraged with cash prizes  from where the best participants are selected and send to the ‘RYLA’ event which takes place in Vishakapatinam.
