Training and Placement Cell

Our college boasts of a strong training and placement cell knitted together effectively by a placement officer, a placement coordinator, a group of experienced faculties of various departments, the corporate world and the Alumni. The mission of providing placement opportunities to the students of all departments without posing a burden of working towards it is achieved through effective and excellent training facilities to students from the first year itself.

A structured framework which serves as the backbone of the training process ensures that students are placed in their fields of interest after a meticulous training process incorporated within the curriculum . The cell helps to provide a continuous and gradual training process which transforms a student admitted with average technical and soft skills into a competent professional ready to face the challenges posed by the industrial recruitment process and succeed confidently.

Once the students needs are identified and categorised, the placement cell provides training on respective areas, catering to the interest of each individual student through aptitude training by IITians, soft skill training by personalities from the industries, honing of technical skills by experts from the college & companies , alumni interactions and webinars that help provide the platform to become recruitment ready. Mock  interviews, Group discussions, mock online tests are organised as and when required to enable students to understand their potential , learn and practice so as to tap the opportunities  provided.

Our strong bonding with the Alumni, the staunch support of their expertise and experience and the glories of the past have made  quite a large number  of organisations knock at our doors to recruit our students.   We are continuously and cautiously upgrading the training modes and structure so as to be in par with the industrial standards, their expectations which ensures our students get placed in their interested arenas, work with dedication and job satisfaction paving way for a bright career for themselves, thereby achieving the vision and mission of the college.

OBJECTIVES:

1.To identify the students technical skills and strengths and  provide training to enhance them which facilitates students to get placed effortlessly.

2. To provide training on life skills by organising motivational sessions, personality development programmes, interactive live sessions on tuning their soft skills which improves the self confidence, attitude and decision making skills of the students.
3. Excellent training on communication skills which ensures that all students, irrespective of medium of instruction at school are competent to face the interviews and succeed.
4. Training on general aptitude and technical aptitude through Alumni of our college & IIT who guide students through strategies, time management, and mock tests which helps students gain experience in mathematical problem solving, verbal and logical reasoning.
5. Training to enhance the programming & coding skills in various softwares, identifying roles in IT organisations and getting trained to help easy placement in IT organisations.
6. Awareness and training programmes to attend competitive examinations such as GATE, GRE,GMAT,CAT, TANCET etc. for students who wish to pursue higher studies in India or abroad.
7. Training of UPSC aspirants and government job aspirants by experts who have successfully coached students to clear these examinations and interview processes.
8. Guidance, opportunities and mentoring by alumni through online sessions periodically to provide students the knowledge of the industry and fill the gaps between the institute and the industry.
9. Internships for all students irrespective of the year during the vacation are organised which provides a platform for III (Industru Institute Interaction) and also ensures placement of outstanding students.
10. Encouraging students to work on creative ideas for start ups and becoming entrepreneurs through able guidance and motivation of highly successful alumni entrepreneurs.
